In partnership with the Children’s Tumour Foundation of Australia, HKU students are leveraging AI-powered multilingual health translation and learning about written and digital literacies at the same time. By translating complex medical information on Neurofibromatosis into accessible formats for minority populations, our students experimented with the capabilities of generative artificial intelligence for community impact. The project shows how technology can be harnessed by students for both learning and social good.
